Depression
Depression can present on it's own, or be part of another mental health or medical health issue. It can occur in episodes, or be "chronic" (lasting more than 6 months consecutively). These symptoms are a noticeable change from before, and effect functioning.
What are some of the common symptoms of Depression?
*Feeling sad, empty, and/or hopeless
*Loss of interest or pleasure in things that used to bring joy
*Significant shift in appetite
*Sleeping too much or too little
*Fatigue/Loss of energy nearly daily
*Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
*Recurring thoughts of death
*Feelings of worthlessness or excessive/inappropriate guilt
*Excessive irritability (especially in children)
